After a massive summer U.S. tour with Thirty Seconds To Mars and AFI and a fall European arena tour with Of Mice & Men, Linkin Park are set to return to North America in 2015 with another installment of The Hunting Party Tour. The band will be bringing along very special guests Rise Against and once again, Of Mice & Men. The trek is set to kick off on January 15 at the Amway Center in Orlando, FL and wraps up on February 14 at Rexall Place in Edmonton, AB, Canada. “Rock music was born in these towns, and for some reason these places tend to get overlooked much more than they should,” said Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington. We want our fans there to know how much they matter to us.” Linkin Park’s sixth studio album The Hunting Party debuted at #3 on the Billboard Top 200 back in June.
Linkin Park exploded onto the nu metal scene in 2000 with the release of their debut LP, Hybrid Theory. The album produced four massive hit singles, and garnered the band their first Grammy Award nomination for Best Rock Album. The band won the Grammy for Best Hard Rock Performance for the single, “Crawling”. The disc went on to be certified diamond in 2005, and is currently the best-selling debut album of of the 21st century. The band supported the album with relentless touring, including appearances on Ozzfest and Family Values Tour. The band avoided the sophomore slump when their second album, 2003′s Meteora, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200. The album spawned an astounding five hit singles, and the band toured the world with support from P.O.D., Story of The Year, and Hoobastank. That summer, Metallica invited Linkin Park to take part in their Summer Sanitarium Tour. Over the next seven years, Linkin Park released two more studio LPs – 2007′s Minutes To Midnight and 2010′s A Thousand Suns. Both records debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 and quickly went platinum. In 2012, the band released Living Things. Once again, the band took the #1 spot on the Billboard Top 200. They co-headlined the Honda Civic Tour with Incubus, and played Australia’s Soundwave Festival alongside Metallica, Paramore, Slayer, and others. Over the summer in addition to the Carnivores Tour, the band performed at Download Festival, Rock am Ring, and Rock im Park in Europe.
Rise Against released their seventh studio album The Black Market back in July. It debuted at #3 on the Billboard Top 200. From June 27-September 21, the band were a featured act at 11 major festivals in North America including Budweiser Made In America Los Angeles, Monster Energy Aftershock Festival, The Shindig Music Festival, Riot Fest, and many more. The band recently wrapped up a headlining North American tour and today, they kick off their European run with special guests Pennywise and Emily’s Army. Over the weekend, Rise Against played Voodoo Experience Music + Arts Festival in New Orleans alongside headliners Foo Fighters, with whom they’ve just announced a massive arena tour of Australia and New Zealand in February of next year.
Of Mice & Men recently premiered their brand new music video for “Feels Like Forever”. The song is the latest single of their opus Restoring Force which debuted at #4 on the Billboard Top 200 back in January. Over the last year, the band mounted a U.S. co-headlining tour with Bring Me The Horizon and were a featured act on Warped Tour this summer. In November, the band will head to Europe to support Linkin Park on their arena tour. In early 2015, the band will tour Australia on the massive Soundwave Festival alongside Faith No More, Soundgarden, Slipknot, Incubus, Slash, Judas Priest, Godsmack, Escape The Fate, and many more. Of Mice & Men formed in Costa Mesa, CA in 2009. A year later, they released their self-titled debut LP. The album cracked the Billboard Top 200 at #115 and also hit #35 on Billboard Rock and #10 on Billboard Hard Rock. are currently in the studio working on the follow-up to their 2011 effort, The Flood, which debuted at #28 on the Billboard Top 200. The band participated on Warped Tour in the summer of 2011.
