In May of 2023, Aerosmith announced their Peace Out Tour – a final 40-date trek across North America. While the tour kicked off to rave reviews and praise from fans, frontman Steven Tyler sustained a fractured larynx during the band’s performance at UBS Arena on September 9, 2023, just three shows into the band’s lengthy grand finale. After postponing the the bulk of their final run, Aerosmith finally confirmed their rescheduled Peace Out Tour dates for 2024. As it turns out, Tyler’s recovery has taken longer than expected. Finally, back on August 2, 2024, Aerosmith completely canceled the rescheduled shows and retired from the road.
Now, Aerosmith guitarists Joe Perry and Brad Whitford are reuniting this summer as part of a revamped Joe Perry Project lineup. The new band will also feature Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes on vocals, Stone Temple Pilots bassist Robert DeLeo and drummer Eric Kretz, and Aerosmith touring member Buck Johnson on keyboards. Check out the full tour itinerary below.

Chris Robinson and Robert DeLeo both performed Joe Perry’s latest solo album Sweetzerland Manifesto MKII, which arrived on May 26, 2023. The record is a reinventing of his previous effort Sweetzerland Manifesto which came out in 2018. The new LP features different takes on songs from the original record, with more guest performances by Robin Zander (Cheap Trick), Gary Cherone (Extreme), and David Johanson (New York Dolls).
“We had so many songs and with everything going on with the Vampires, Aerosmith, COVID, not touring and touring, this music kept riding along for me,” Perry says. “It was like the engine of a train that wasn’t going to stop. I’d wanted to put these songs out, and the idea of adding them to a vinyl release or Deluxe Version turned into doing MKII. I tend to think in terms of albums. The first one had a vibe, and MKII is a little more rocked out. I almost prefer it. It’s one of those records I can play from front to back live.”
In 2023, Joe Perry played a string of shows, including a stop at Webster Hall in New York City. There, he performed several Aerosmith cuts including “Somebody,” “S.O.S. (Too Bad),” their versions of “Chip Away the Stone” and “The Train Kept A’ Rollin’,” and “Walk This Way” which served as the night’s grand finale. With Brad Whitford now sharing the stage, fans are surely stoked to see what Aerosmith gems the duo will decide to pull out of the Attic.
