A new album from Papa Roach in 2026 is looking more and more likely. After dropping two new tracks in 2025, the band premiered another new song last night in Nashville. Papa Roach were the surprise guests at country star Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Jam last night [January 19].

“See you tonight Nashville at Whiskey Jam,” the band teased on social media. “We got something special for you!”

And they delivered on that promise.

The group debuted a brand new song called “Wake Up Calling.” The ballad is undoubtedly from their forthcoming yet-to-be-announced album that has been rumored for some time. The set also included acoustic versions of the two of the band’s biggest hits – “Scars” and “Last Resort.” Stream the fan-filmed footage below.

Last January, Papa Roach returned with “Even If It Kills Me’ – their first new piece of material since 2022. It was the first taste of their forthcoming twelfth studio album. Stream the official lyric video HERE. Last summer, they followed it up with “Braindead.” The track featured a special guest appearance by Toby Morse of H20.

Papa Roach entered the Who Do You Trust? era in early 2019 with the release of their tenth studio album, Who Do You Trust?, which blended hard rock, rap rock, and alternative elements and delivered six singles including the title track, “Elevate,” and “Come Around.” The album continued the band’s tradition of high-energy anthems and introspective lyrics, further solidifying their relevance more than two decades after their formation.

As the Who Do You Trust? cycle wound down through 2019 and into 2020, Papa Roach released additional singles like “Top of the World,” “Feel Like Home,” and “The Ending,” keeping momentum alive even as live touring paused due to global conditions. In late 2020 the band also issued a holiday-time compilation, 20/20, which featured re-recorded versions of earlier hits alongside archival recordings. This was followed in March 2021 by Greatest Hits Vol. 2: The Better Noise Years, a retrospective that highlighted the band’s catalog across its more recent eras.

In 2022, Papa Roach released their eleventh studio album, Ego Trip, through their own label New Noize. The record arrived on April 8 and featured singles such as “Swerve” (with Fever 333’s Jason Aalon Butler and rapper Sueco), “Kill the Noise,” “Stand Up,” “Cut the Line,” “No Apologies,” and “Leave a Light On (Talk Away the Dark).” Ego Trip showcased the band’s evolving sound—pulling in elements of nu-metal, rapcore, and pop-punk—while maintaining the urgency and melodic hooks the group is known for.

On the live front in 2025, Papa Roach launched extensive touring plans that both honored their history and spotlighted new material. They marked the 25th anniversary of their breakthrough album Infest with global performances and heightened engagement with fans worldwide. In January 2025 the band released a new single titled “Even If It Kills Me,” the first new music in three years since Ego Trip, signaling the coming next chapter of their recording career. Another 2025 release, “BRAINDEAD” (featuring Toby Morse), further set the stage for the band’s ongoing evolution and continued presence on rock charts.

During this period Papa Roach also staged unique collaborations, such as a surprise genre-blending performance with Carrie Underwood in Las Vegas in April 2025. The pair performed a duet version of “Leave a Light On (Talk Away the Dark)” and the classic “Last Resort” as part of the special segment of Papa Roach’s global touring schedule, reinforcing both the band’s longevity and its willingness to explore beyond traditional rock contexts.

From 2024 into 2025, frontman Jacoby Shaddix regularly confirmed that the band was actively working on new material, with plans to release music “throughout the year” and build toward a full new album. Various interviews throughout 2025 reinforced that Papa Roach had several songs completed and was steadily finishing more, with hopes that a full album would emerge in late 2025 or early 2026. Shaddix described this forthcoming work as a mix of modern and classic Papa Roach sensibilities, teasing tracks both anthemic and rawer in spirit.

Across these recent years, Papa Roach have demonstrated remarkable resilience and adaptability, honoring their roots in nu-metal and hard rock while continually expanding their sonic palette and engaging with both longtime fans and new listeners. With multiple charting singles, anniversary tours, and steadily evolving new music, the band has maintained a vital presence in the modern rock landscape more than three decades after their formation.
