After unleashing their hard-hitting new single “Barricade,” Theory of a Deadman have confirmed their upcoming EP Part 1: Funeral Songs, which arrives on September 4. Marking a new chapter for the band, “Barricade” delivers their signature mix of gritty riffs, anthemic hooks, and unfiltered lyricism with a renewed sense of urgency.

Today, the group revealed the album’s second single “Winnebago (Lay Low).” The song is pure classic Theory of a Deadman. Stream the official music video below.

Driven by a tense, simmering energy, “Barricade” builds from restrained verses into a massive, cathartic chorus, capturing the push-and-pull emotion at the core of the song while maintaining an undeniable arena-ready punch.

Singer and guitarist Tyler Connolly comments, “‘Barricade’ is about the frustration of a one sided relationship with someone that just won’t let you in, is non responsive and makes you want to rip your hair out! I loved the idea of using the word barricade in a song since we stare at them at every show, it made so much sense!”

The new tracks were produced by Chris Baseford and Tyler Connolly, mixed by Chris Baseford and Irene Genova at Lucky Dog Sound, and mastered by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound. The upcoming EP will be available on splattered vinyl and CD, along with limited edition signed bundles with a t-shirt. Check out all the physical versions below, plus a link to pre-order.
