The band’s new EP arrives on November 3
Spiritbox have have revealed a new song, “Cellar Door.” The track is from their forthcoming EP, The Fear of Fear. The song follows the previously released band single, “Jaded” and “The Void.” Stream the official music video below now, directed by Orie McGinness.
The all-new The Fear of Fear EP is slated for release on November 3 via Rise Records/Pale Chord. Included on the upcoming EP are “Cellar Door,” “The Void,” and “Jaded,” plus three more new tracks. It will be available on CD, as well as several colored vinyl editions. Fans can pre-save the EP now HERE.
Vocalist Courtney LaPlante says of the first single, “The Void is a song that came about very quickly. I didn’t have to fight with anything to write it, and when that happens, I don’t argue with it. It’s a type of song that I’ve been wanting to write for a long time, I’ve heard it hundreds of times now, and it makes me so happy every time I hear it. It’s been such an amazing experience playing this song on our tour, and watching people hear it for the first time, in real time.”
Spiritbox are currently on tour with Shinedown and Papa Roach playing some exclusive North American concerts. The run began on September 3 at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in St. Louis, and wraps up on October 20 at Ball Arena in Denver. Next spring, the band are performing at the second annual Sick New World festival in Las Vegas alongside System of a Down, Slipknot, Bring Me The Horizon, A Perfect Circle, and more.
In 2021, Spiritbox released their widely successful debut album Eternal Blue. After a handful of dates supporting Limp Bizkit, the band embarked on their first North American headlining tour which saw them sell out several venues across the continent. To date, Spiritbox have accumulated over 400 million career streams across platforms and 76.4 million YouTube views. They were also nominated for 2 Juno Awards last year for Breakthrough Group Of The Year and Metal/Hard Music Album of The Year last year.
