The band’s tenth album ‘The Wow! Signal’ arrives in June
After much anticipation built through cryptic teasers, Muse have finally announced their new album The Wow! Signal. The band introduced their upcoming tenth album with the premiere of the lead single “Be with You.” Stream the official music video below, directed by Nico Poalillo.
The new album will be available on a very special limited edition first pressing vinyl, collector’s edition vinyl, standard red vinyl, CD, and cassette. Following the release of their eighth studio album Simulation Theory in November 2018, Muse entered a new phase of their career marked by both stylistic exploration and a reaffirmation of their status as one of modern rock’s most ambitious acts. The album—featuring singles like “Pressure,” “Thought Contagion,” and “Something Human”—leaned heavily into 1980s-inspired synth-pop and retro-futuristic aesthetics, debuting at No. 1 in multiple countries including the UK and marking their sixth consecutive chart-topper there. To support the release, the band launched the visually extravagant Simulation Theory World Tour in 2019, incorporating elaborate staging, dancers, and augmented-reality themes that pushed the boundaries of arena rock performance. The tour further cemented Muse’s reputation for groundbreaking live shows, a hallmark of their career since the early 2000s.
In the years that followed, the band—fronted by Matt Bellamy alongside bassist Chris Wolstenholme and drummer Dominic Howard—navigated the global pause in touring brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic while continuing to write and record new material. This period culminated in the release of their ninth studio album, Will of the People, in August 2022. The record marked a return to a heavier, more guitar-driven sound, blending elements of glam rock, hard rock, and electronic experimentation while exploring themes of political unrest, societal control, and personal empowerment. The album debuted at No. 1 in the UK—extending their streak—and produced standout tracks such as “Won’t Stand Down,” “Compliance,” and the title track, all of which showcased the band’s ability to evolve while retaining their signature intensity.
From 2022 through 2025, Muse remained a dominant live force, embarking on the Will of the People World Tour, which featured massive stage production, dystopian imagery, and high-energy performances across North America, Europe, and beyond. The band continued to headline major festivals and arenas, reinforcing their global appeal and multi-generational fanbase. During this period, they also celebrated milestones in their catalog and maintained a strong presence on streaming platforms, where their earlier hits like “Uprising,” “Starlight,” and “Knights of Cydonia” continued to attract new listeners.
By the mid-2020s, Muse had solidified their legacy as one of the most innovative and enduring rock bands of their era, with over 30 million albums sold worldwide, multiple Grammy Awards—including Best Rock Album for The Resistance—and a reputation for constantly reinventing their sound and spectacle. Whether embracing synth-driven nostalgia or returning to their heavier roots, the band has remained committed to pushing creative boundaries, ensuring their continued relevance in an ever-changing musical landscape.
