The band will embark on a massive North American tour this spring

After premiering two tracks late last year, Lamb of God have officially confirmed their new album Into Oblivion. The record is set for release on March 13 through Epic Records, marking the band’s first full-length release in four years. To celebrate the announcement, the band has unleashed the music video for the bruising title track.

The forthcoming Into Oblivion finds Lamb of God embracing their position as modern metal veterans, beholden to no one, with nothing left to prove. The 10-song collection references the band’s roots, doubles down on their signature groove, and expands their approach, resulting in an album that feels both deliberate and untethered.
“For me, the album is about having the space to breathe creatively and not feeling like we have to keep up with any trend or expectation,” guitarist Mark Morton shares. “It feels nice to be untethered from any agenda beyond rallying around the notion of, ‘Let’s just make music that we think is cool,’ which is really where it all started.”
Vocalist Randy Blythe doesn’t mince words on why the band decided to name the album Into Oblivion, saying candidly: “Because that’s where we’re heading. In general, the album is about the ongoing and rapid breakdown of the social contract, particularly here in America. Things are acceptable now that would’ve horrified people just 20 years ago.”
In the months leading up to today’s announcement, the metal veterans released a pair of blistering singles that offered listeners a taste of the album’s range – “Sepsis,“ the band’s first new song since 2022, paid homage to the early ‘90s Richmond underground that shaped Lamb of God’s formative years, and “Parasocial Christ,“ which evokes classic Lamb of God with a three-minute onslaught. The video for “Parasocial Christ” was directed by Jon Vulpine, whose unsettling visual style mirrors the track’s intensity as it captures a man’s descent into madness.
Metal titans Lamb of God have unleashed the music video for their brand new single “Parasocial Christ.” Just like the previously released “Sepsis,“ the all-new “Parasocial Christ” sees the band teaming up with longtime producer Josh Wilbur. Of the latter track, Blythe shares, “The Information Age has birthed the attention economy, an industry worth hundreds of billions of dollars anchored in keeping eyeballs firmly glued to screens, thus generating ad revenue. Every second spent clicking and scrolling through the trivial and/or sordid details of other people’s lives, people that you will most likely never meet- celebrities, politicians, influencers- is another dollar in some already obscenely wealthy tech bro’s wallet. You are a product, and you are being sold in a marketplace you have no share in. The irony of you reading this some social media platform or music news aggregator site is not lost on me; nevertheless I hope this song might make you consider who and what you give your attention to. Fuck the clickbait, put down the phone, go live your life- it’s waiting for you out in what’s left of the real world.”
Next March, Lamb of God are returning to the road for what promises to be the heaviest tour of 2026, with the North American trek, produced by Live Nation, featuring support from Kublai Khan TX, Fit For An Autopsy, and Sanguisugabogg. Tickets for all shows are on sale this Friday, November 21 at 10 a.m. local time. An artist pre-sale launches today at 12 noon eastern. VIP packages will also be available.

“We are beyond thrilled to announce the loudest, proudest, floor shakin’-est, earth quakin’-est, ear-splittin’-est, mosh pittin’-est, undiluted, undisputed heaviest tour of the whole damn year,” Mark Morton declares. “Is this the largest collection of riffs ever assembled under one roof? It would seem so. Lamb of God, Kublai Khan TX, Fit For An Autopsy, and Sanguisugabogg. Do not miss this shit.”
In 2025, the band celebrated the 25th anniversary of their discography, performed at the historic “Back to the Beginning” concert and subsequently released their thunderous take on Black Sabbath’s “Children of the Grave,” along with appearances at several festivals including Inkcarceration and Louder Than Life, and a headlining show at Richmond’s new 7500-seat outdoor venue, Allianz Amphitheater, during its opening season.
Produced and mixed by longtime studio collaborator Josh Wilbur, Into Oblivion was recorded across multiple locations tied closely to the band’s identity. Drums were tracked in Richmond, Virginia, with guitars and bass recorded at Morton’s home studio. Blythe recorded his vocals at the legendary Total Access studio in Redondo Beach, California, the birthplace of seminal punk records by Black Flag, Hüsker Dü, and Descendents.
Album pre-orders, including multiple limited-edition vinyl variants and signed copies, are available now. An unannounced first pressing of the album was quietly posted on the band’s website earlier this week, and sold out immediately.
This year, Lamb of God are bringing back their Headbangers Boat Cruise. The monumental four-day heavy metal celebration at sea will embark on a fourth round-trip voyage full of sleepless nights and infinite shredding. Highlighted performances from Lamb of God, the fully immersive cruise will further feature an amazing assortment of special guests, including such masters of metal as Zakk Sabbath, The Dillinger Escape Plan, In Flames, GWAR, The Haunted, D.R.I., 200 Stab Wounds, X-Cops, Mark Morton Band, and more to be announced soon. Hailed as the heroes of New American Heavy Metal by legions of fans around the world, Lamb Of God grew from basement shows and grimy DIY venues to arena headliners, beloved with the same devotion as such spiritual forefathers and touring comrades as Metallica, Slayer, and Megadeth. Over the course of their career, the Richmond, VA-based band has created an unmistakable signature sound, injecting an extreme contemporary aesthetic to shove metal into the new millennium.
Lamb of God have made history with such timeless works as 2003’s As the Palaces Burn (named by Rolling Stone as one of the “Top 100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time”), 2004’s RIAA gold-certified Ashes of the Wake, 2009’s landmark Wrath, 2012’s diverse Resolution, and 2015’s explosive VII: Sturm und Drang, the latter three of which debuted in the top 5 on the overall Billboard 200. Among their many accolades, the band has received five GRAMMY® Award nominations for “Best Metal Performance” and “Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance,” as well as multiple Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards, including “Best Live Band,” “Best International Band,” and “Best Album.”
