“I really have no option and no choice as health is my number one priority”
Legendary rock singer and bassist Glenn Hughes has seemingly retired from playing live, according to a new statement he released. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer revealed that he will be undergoing a major medical procedure, after which he will not be playing live for the “foreseeable future.”
“This past year, I’ve had some health issues. The results from numerous MRIs, CT scans, and an echocardiogram have alerted my medical team, that I need another open-heart surgery. I really have no option and no choice as health is my number one priority. Grateful to have been chosen with a life full with the gift of music… Thank you for walking beside me.”
Glenn’s upcoming October gig with The Purple Daises at The Canyon Club in Aurora Hills, California on October 2 has been canceled.
