“Next year, we wanna go make a record”

Last night, modern rock titans My Chemical Romance took the stage at the legendary Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. The show, which featured very special guests The Used, kicked off the final two shows of the band’s 20th anniversary celebration of their iconic 2006 album The Black Parade. Shockingly, it’s been almost two decades since the band released their last album – Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys – which came out back in 2010. It’s been a very long wait for fans, but thankfully, it looks like they won’t have to wait much longer for a new MCR record.
During last night’s performance, singer Gerard Way revealed that My Chemical Romance are most likely hitting the studio next year.
“Next year, we want to go make a record, so we’re probably not doing any shows,” Gerard said as the crowd erupted in cheers. “There’s no secret code to that. But, seriously, we want to go do that and hopefully see you guys in 2028.”
