FOO FIGHTERS UNVEIL NEW TRACK “CONGREGATION” FEATURING ZAC BROWN

Foo Fighters have unveiled a third track today from their upcoming new album Sonic Highways that’s just 11 days away from dropping. The new tune “Congregation” features a special (but not surprising) appearance by Zac Brown of country music giants Zac Brown Band. Earlier this month, Foo Fighters held a week-long residency on The Late Show with David Letterman and they invited Brown to perform a rendition of  Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs” with them. Last year, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl collaborated with the Zac Brown Band on their EP The Grohl Sessions, Vol 1. Grohl also joined the band for a performance at the 47th Annual CMA Awards last November. Foo Fighters are set to play the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN tonight as part of their club tour that coincides with the episodes of their current HBO series. This weekend, the band will headline Voodoo Music + Arts Experience in New Orleans. This week, the band announced a massive Australian arena tour with very special guests Rise Against. Their new album comes out on November 10 via RCA Records. – by Matt Bishop
