Soundgarden Releasing 35th Anniversary Vinyl Bundle

(TRR) – Soundgarden are releasing a special 35th anniversary vinyl bundle set. The band will be issuing the series through A&M/Republic/UMe on limited edition color vinyl. For a limited time, fans can pre-order all five albums in the series at discount via The Sound of Vinyl HERE. In addition to the vinyl records, fans will also receive an exclusive glossy black lithograph with red foil accent, designed and signed by Soundgarden’s long-time creative director Josh Graham.

Each album will ship separately. The first album in the series Superunknown will ship by April 5th. The other items will ship on dates to be announced later (approximately one album per month). In the wake of frontman Chris Cornell’s untimely passing in 2017,  Soundgarden‘s seminal masterpiece Superunknown re-entered the Billboard Top 200 at the No. 32 spot and climbed to No. 28. Soundgarden unleashed Superunknown on March 8, 1994. It debuted at #1 and went on to sell 2.5 million copies that year, making it the 13th best-selling music album of ’94. To date, the disc has sold nearly 10 million copies worldwide and is regarded by many critics and fans alike as one of the greatest albums of all time.Soundgarden’s last studio effort – 2012’s King Animal – debuted at #5 on the Billboard Top 200 and sold aprroximately 83,000 copies in its first week of sales. It would be the band’s final studio LP with Cornell. In 2014, the premiered a new single “Storm” as part of their three-album box set Echoes of Miles: Scattered Tracks Across The Path which featured previously unreleased tracks, B-sides, covers, demos, and instrumental pieces.
