The band has tapped a replacement so the concert can go on as scheduled
Judas Priest bassist Ian Hill will not play tonight at the band’s show at Hammersmith Apollo Eventim. In a statement, the band revealed that Hill suffered an arm injury that has left him unable to perform. In order to not cancel the show, the band has tapped Uriah Heep bassist Davey Rimmer to fill in.

“Ian has a badly damaged tendon in his left arm so unfortunately he won’t be able to play at our Hammersmith Apollo Eventim show on Monday, 21 September. Our good friend Davey Rimmer (Uriah Heep) will be playing with us so the show will go on. Ian sends his grateful appreciation to our fans for your caring and understanding.”
Tonight (21 September) is the final show of Judas Priest’s Faithkeepers Tour. The run took the band across Europe and the UK. Their next scheduled performance is at Tuska Festival in Helsinki, Finland next July.
