It was certainly a privilege to welcome Mike Lewis of Lostprophets back to the States, and to Warped Tour. The band have not toured the US in six long years, and on top of that, this summer marks their first Warped Tour appearance ever. “It’s [tour] been awesome. It’s our first time on Warped, and our first time touring the States in 6 years, so it’s nice to come back and have people remember who we are,” said Lewis.
Lostprophets are touring on their album, Weapons, which came out earlier this year. When talking about the making of the record, Lewis said, “With this one, we just didn’t think about it at all. We just wanted to make a good, solid Lostprophets record.” The band’s first three albums charted in the Billboard Top 200, and Weapons hit #1 on the UK Rock Chart.
Since the band jumped on Warped Tour half-way through this summer (missing the West Coast dates), they will be hitting the West Coast for a quick week-long run. From there, they will head over to Japan for some festivals, and then closing out UK Warped Tour in November. Amid UK Warped, the band will also do a headlining UK run. There is also the possibility of a US headlining run in the early fall, but no confirmation as of yet. Choose your weapons, get your tickets, and CRANK IT UP! – by Matt Bishop
