The band recently toured with Killswitch Engage in North America

After some opening stints with the likes of Killswitch Engage and Knocked Loose, Kublai Khan TX have announced they’ll be bringing the beatdown to a town near you this fall on their U.S. headlining run. The Texan hardcore titans are bringing Drain, Gideon and Guilt Trip along for the ride. The tour kicks off on September 18 with an appearance at the Louder Than Life Festival in Louisville, Kentucky. From there, they will trek across the country before wrapping things up on October 26 at the iconic Palladium in Los Angeles, California. Very special guests Throwdown will be on deck for the final show.
Speaking about the tour, vocalist Matt Honeycutt commented, “Time to do it bigger and badder than ever on this headliner with our friends in Drain, Gideon, and Guilt Trip. See y’all soon. P.S. – Don’t forget about Throwdown in L.A. too.”
Tickets go on sale this Friday, April 25 at 10am local time. Fans should stay tuned for more Kublai Khan TX news coming soon.
Last September, the band unleashed their latest album Exhibition of Prowess through Rise Records, which includes hit tracks like “Supreme Ruler“, “Theory of Mind“, and “Low Tech.“
The band was established in the summer of 2009. They self-released their debut EP, Youth War, in 2010, which laid the groundwork for their intense musical style. Their early years were marked by relentless touring and a DIY ethic, handling much of their own merchandise and designs. This hands-on approach helped them build a dedicated fan base across the United States.
Kublai Khan TX’s music is characterized by heavy, downtuned guitars, slow breakdowns, and raspy vocals, drawing inspiration from the early 1990s metallic hardcore scene, including bands like Integrity, Earth Crisis, and Hatebreed. Their lyrics often tackle pressing social issues such as racism, police brutality, depression, and violence against women.
Kublai Khan TX has toured extensively, both nationally and internationally, sharing stages with acts like The Acacia Strain, Emmure, and Unearth. Their energetic live performances and commitment to addressing real-world issues have solidified their reputation in the hardcore and metalcore scenes.
Their influence extends beyond music, as they continue to engage with fans on topics that matter, using their platform to shed light on societal challenges.
