It’s still very cold in most parts of the country, but announcements for the U.S. festival season are already heating things up in early 2014. The latest event is The Governors Ball Music Festival in New York City. Jack White is set to headline alongside a reunited Outkast, and he’ll be in good company among acts like Vampire Weekend, The Strokes, Phoenix, Frank Turner, Interpol, The 1975, Deafheaven, Foster The People, Fitz and The Tantrums, TV On The Radio, Sleigh Bells, The Naked and Famous, Neko Case, and many more. Vampire Weekend, Frank Turner, Fitz and The Tantrums, The 1975, and Deafheaven all released albums in 2013 that made TheRockRevival.com’s Top 50 Rock Albums of 2013 list. The 3-day festival is set to take place on June 6-8 at Randall’s Island Park in New York City. Tickets go on-sale TODAY at 3PM ET via www.GovernorsBallMusicFestival.com. – by Matt Bishop
