The Mudvayne frontman also came down with an illness before his set at Aftershock over the weekend
After experiencing some vocal fatigue, Chad Gray has canceled two upcoming California shows in San Diego at the House of Blues on October 5 and Santa Ana at the Observatory OC on October 6. The tour will resume on October 7 in Las Vegas. The California shows are expected to be rescheduled.
“If you saw the Aftershock show, you know I was having a tough one,” Gray said in a statement. “I’ve been dealing with some deep vocal issues, and then that day I got sick and was completely on my ass. I’m already dealing with enough shit right now, and I need to take some time to rest so I can protect my voice, my health, and hopefully keep this tour going. I’m so incredibly sorry to my Metal family in San Diego and Santa Ana, but I’m going to have to cancel these shows. It absolutely breaks my heart. I don’t want to do this, but I truly believe it’s the better decision for all of you and for me.
Hopefully, we can get back there soon and replay the shows the way they’re supposed to be played.
If you have a meet and greet and want to go to the Las Vegas show on October 7th, we can transfer your M&G. Please email us and we will change your order. If you can not make the Vegas show, all meet and greets that were purchased will be reimbursed. Tickets to the Vegas date at Fremont Country Club are available. If you purchased through Ticketmaster, refunds will be issued automatically. If you purchased from a third party reseller, please reach out to your point of purchase. Thank You for understanding and sticking with me. Stay Metal.”
