Don Broco and Nickelback have joined forces for their new song “Nightmare Tripping.” The tune is the title track for Don Broco’s forthcoming studio album, which arrives on March 16 through Fearless Records. This might not be the only Nickelback collab we see. Back in September, Sammy Hagar shared a video with Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger and Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee.

“Ok, here we are – the three best singers in rock ‘n’ roll,” Hagar says to the camera as the three embrace. “And you say, ‘What are those three guys doing?’ Well, it’s hard to say – but we’re just getting started.”

The person filming the clip again asked, “What are you guys doing?”

Sammy replied, “It’s hard to say. We’re figuring it out. We’re trying to figure out what we’re doing.”

Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante provided a bit more clarity in his Instagram post. He shared a photo of himself with Hagar and Kroeger in what appeared to be a recording studio, stating: “When you get a call to come over and play drums on a new song that these 2 are doing… you drop whatever it is and go. What a spontaneous thing and so much fun. Thank you both.”

Tommy Lee reposted a clip shot by his wife Brittany Furlan to his Instagram story of himself playing drums in what appears to be a rehearsal space. While the clip is clearly of Tommy behind a kit, Sammy referred to him as a “singer” in the video he shared on his social media. Could Lee also be lending his vocal talents to this new project? In the late 90s and early 00s, Tommy fronted is own band, Methods of Mayhem, and he continues to sing backup vocals for the Crüe today.

After the release of Amazing Things in October 2021, which became Don Broco’s first No. 1 album on the UK Albums Chart, the Bedford-born four-piece continued to build on their momentum with both live and studio projects that expanded their profile and creative reach.

Following the album’s rollout—which included singles like “Manchester Super Reds No.1 Fan,” “Gumshield,” and “One True Prince,” all marked by the band’s trademark blend of alternative rock, post-hardcore energy, and lyrical wit—the group toured extensively across the UK throughout late 2021, including a headlining slot at Slam Dunk Festival and a fall headline tour supporting the record.

In 2022 and 2023 Don Broco shifted focus to capturing the live experience of this era, culminating in the release of Live at the Royal Albert Hall in November 2023, a live album documenting their performance at the famed London venue with an orchestral backing and raising funds for Teenage Cancer Trust. This project reinforced the band’s reputation for high-octane shows and connected them to broader charitable work.

Into 2024 and beyond, Don Broco have been steadily preparing new music and expanding their live footprint. They played select festival appearances including 2000trees, and in 2025 completed several headlining UK shows and appeared at major festivals such as Download, reaffirming their status on the rock circuit. That same year the band signed with Fearless Records, signaling a new phase in their recording journey and hinting at a full-length follow-up to Amazing Things.

Musically, recent singles like “Cellophane” and “Hype Man” (2025) indicate a willingness to push into heavier, more experimental territory—pairing nu-metal-inflected riffs with introspective lyrics—while retaining the balance of aggression and melody that has defined their sound since the Bedford formation in 2008.

Across this period, Don Broco have maintained their blend of high-energy performances, genre-blending songwriting, and loyal fan engagement, setting the stage for continued evolution as they approach their next full studio chapter.
