The Dark Matter Tour continues next spring
Pearl Jam are returning to the road next year. After touring extensively in support of their latest album Dark Matter in 2024, the band is gearing up for another string of dates beginning next spring. The run launches on April 24 at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, and will feature stops in Atlanta, Nashville, and Pittsburgh before concluding on May 18. More dates around the globe could potentially be announced in the near future.
Check out the full tour itinerary below.
Pearl Jam’s seventh studio album, Dark Matter, which recently crossed 100 Million streams, debuted Top 5 on the Billboard 200 and also scored No. 1 on five Billboard charts simultaneously – Top Rock & Alternative Albums, Top Rock Albums, Top Alternative Albums, and Top Hard Rock. With their latest release, the band has also tied for most No. 1 albums in Billboard Top Hard Rock Albums chart history (8). The single “Wreckage,“ along with the album’s title track “Dark Matter,” went No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, marking the first time Pearl Jam has accomplished consecutive No. 1 hits on the chart. Dominating the radio charts, both singles were also Top 5 records at Alt Radio and Wreckage was a No. 1 at AAA Radio.
Pearl Jam were recently nominated for two 2025 GRAMMY® Awards. Their latest LP is up for Best Rock Album, while the title track is up for Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song. On February 2 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, Pearl Jam will battle it out along with some of the biggest acts in rock, metal, and alternative will battle it out to take home music’s biggest prize, supposedly. This time around, The Rolling Stones, Pearl Jam, and Green Day lead the rock categories, while ferocious newcomers Gojira, Knocked Loose, and Spiritbox will icons Judas Priest and Metallica in the Best Metal Performance category.
Produced by GRAMMY® Award winner Andrew Watt (The Rolling Stones, Ozzy Osbourne, Iggy Pop), Dark Matter is available on digital download, CD, and vinyl, with several variants including a Ten Club Exclusive Red Galaxy Vinyl with 24-page booklet, Indie Exclusive Crystal Vinyl with 24-page booklet, standard black vinyl, standard CD, and Deluxe CD/Blu-Ray with HD audio and Dolby Atmos Immersive Mix. All vinyl packages include one of three uniques sticker sheets with five center label tickets, plus a logo sticker. The title track is available on a 7-inch vinyl single.
In 2021, Pearl Jam began working on Dark Matter at Andrew Watt’s studio in Beverly Hills. With Watt at the helm, it’s safe to say that fans can expect a heavier, more guitar-driven outing, given his previous success with acts like Ozzy Osbourne and The Rolling Stones. Pearl Jam recorded a bulk of their new record at Rick Rubin’s Shangri-La Studio in Malibu, California.
Back on January 31, Pearl Jam held an ultra-exclusive album reveal of Dark Matter. The event took place at the legendary Troubadour in Los Angeles, California. Band members Eddie Vedder (vocals), Mick McCready (guitar), and Jeff Ament (bass) were on hand, as well as producer Andrew Watt.
“We’re still looking for ways to communicate,” Vedder said at the event. “We’re at this time in our lives when you could do it or you could not do it, but we still care about putting something out there that is meaningful. No hyperbole – I think this is out best work.”
Bassist Jeff Ament added, “I couldn’t be prouder of us as a band.”
Pearl Jam released their eleventh studio album, Gigaton, in March of 2020. It was the group’s first all-new studio outing in seven years. The critically-acclaimed album hit No. 5 on the Billboard Top 200 and No. 1 on Billboard’s Rock and Alternative album charts. The band finally got out not the road to support the record in 2022.
Last year saw the 10th anniversary of Pearl Jam’s tenth full-length LP and fan favorite, Lightning Bolt. It originally dropped on October 15, 2013 and became the group’s fifth No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200. The Brendan O’Brien-produced Lightning Bolt is now also available in Spatial Audio.
