L7 bassist Jennifer Finch has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer. After complications from multiple surgeries, she was forced to pull out of the band’s ongoing farewell tour. Now, her camp is calling on fans to help with her extensive care.

“Many of you know Jennifer as a musician, artist, writer, photographer, punk historian, and a force of nature who has never been particularly interested in sitting still or going quietly.

Today, we have to share something none of us ever wanted to write: Jennifer is facing an aggressive form of brain cancer.

After her diagnosis, there was hope that treatment would give her a path back to some version of normal life. Instead, complications brought multiple surgeries and a relentless series of setbacks. Jennifer is now living with significant physical limitations and requires a level of care that love, friendship, and sheer determination cannot safely provide around the clock.

So we’re calling in the community.

A GoFundMe has been created to help cover professional in-home nursing care, physical and speech therapy, medical equipment, home-care expenses, and the essential support Jennifer needs to live with as much comfort, dignity, autonomy, and quality of life as possible. It will also help protect and preserve the creative legacy she has spent decades building—because that work matters, and it deserves to endure.

Jennifer has spent her life making noise. Making art. Making history. Challenging expectations. Kicking down doors. Showing up for people. Giving a damn when it would have been easier not to.

Now it’s our turn to show up for her.

If you can donate, please visit the link in Jennifer’s bio. If you can’t, share it far and wide. Send it to the people who danced to her music, learned from her work, stood beside her, argued with her, laughed with her, loved her, or were changed by something she created.

Every donation helps provide real care. Every share pushes this beyond the limits of our immediate circles. Every message reminds Jennifer that the community she helped build is still here—loud, stubborn, and standing beside her.

She has never gone quietly. Neither will we. With love, gratitude, and plenty of fight.”

A GoFundMe has been launched to help Jennifer with all the expenses she has incurred. Fans can donate to help Jennifer HERE. As of now, L7 will still be hitting the road one last time in the fall. The trek kicks off on October 9 at Walter Studio in Phoenix. Check out the full tour itinerary below, plus a link to grab tickets.
