Guns N’ Roses have released their first new song in 13 years. The band unleashed “Absurd” last night at midnight on streaming services. Listen to the official audio below.

“New. Fn. Song,” the band said in a Tweet that was accompanied by the official audio of the song.

The new single is a re-working of the previously titled track “Silkworms,” a Chinese Democracy-era song that never made it onto the album. The band debuted the track live back in 2001, according to setlist.fm. They have been performing the re-worked and re-titled version on their 2021 Not In This Lifetime Tour that kicked off last week.

In 2016 Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan shocked and thrilled fans around the world after revealing they were reuniting for their now historic Not In This Lifetime Tour. The band brought endless energy  to over 150 shows, playing for more than 5.5 million fans worldwide. Produced and promoted by Live Nation, the Not In This Lifetime Tour was crowned the third highest grossing outing of all time.

Guns N’ Roses current tour with Mammoth WVH continues this Sunday, August 8 at Comerica Park in Detroit.

The tour is slated to run into the fall, wrapping up with two shows at Hard Rock Live Arena in Hollywood, FL on October 2 and October 3.
