Guns N’ Roses recently wrapped up a run across Latin America as part of their massive on-going world tour. The run includes stops in Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and more, wrapping up on 8 November. Their seemingly never-ending global trek is continuing next year. The band announced Monday plans for another huge world tour run, with shows scheduled across North America, Brazil, Europe, and the UK. The trek is highlighted by gigs in São Paulo, Dublin, Paris, Berlin, Toronto, Las Vegas, East Rutherford, and San Antonio. Additionally, Guns N’ Roses will be returning to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California for the first time in three decades.

In conjunction with the Nightrain Fan Club Presale, Guns N’ Roses will release two new songs: “Nothin’” and “Atlas” via Geffen Records on Tuesday, December 2. Marking their first releases since 2023, these new songs join “The General” and “Perhaps” as vital additions to setlists otherwise featuring all the classic hits and deep cut fan favorites from GNR’s early catalogue.

In addition to their headlining shows, Guns N’ Roses are headlining several festivals around the globe. In May, the band will headline Welcome to Rockville in Florida, U.S. alongside Foo Fighters, Bring Me The Horizon, and My Chemical Romance. In June, they will take top billing Download Festival in the UK with Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park in June. Other confirmed festival appearances include Monsters of Rock (Brazil) and Tecate Pa’l Norte (Mexico).
The announcement arrives days after Guns N’ Roses released their deluxe Live Era ‘87-’93 boxset, a limited pressing with remastered audio and revamped art. Though Live Era remains a document of GNR in their younger days, the release couldn’t be better timed: then and now, GNR are one of the most ferocious live bands on the planet.
With previously announced appearances at festivals in Mexico, Brazil, and the UK, the 31-date tour will feature an EU leg with performances in Poland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, and France, before GNR returns to North America for a run traversing the United States and Canada.
Over the summer, Guns N’ Roses headlined Firenze Rocks in Florence, Italy, Rock for People in Hradec Králové, Czech Republic, and Wacken Open Air in Wacken, Germany.
While more live shows are always a good thing, fans are certainly hoping that the band put out a new album soon. The band’s last proper studio outing was Chinese Democracy. Their sixth album, it was finally released on November 23, 2008 via Black Frog/Geffen after various lineup shifts and label issues. Prior to that, the last Guns N’ Roses album of original material was their massive double album Use Your Illusions I and Use Your Illusions II, released in September of 1991.
In 2021, Guns N’ Roses came out with a new EP Hard Skool. It was the first time in 28 years that vocalist Axl Rose, guitarist Slash, and bassist Duff McKagan collaborated together on new material together. The trio was accompanied on the new studio effort by the current members of the GNR lineup, which is completed by guitarist Richard Fortus and drummer Frank Ferrer, as well as keyboardists Dizzy Reed and Melissa Reese. The EP also features “Absurd,” a re-worked track from the Chinese Democracy sessions, as well as live recordings of the band’s ‘91 power ballad “Don’t Cry” and “You’re Crazy” from their seminal debut LP Appetite For Destruction. Released back in August of 2021, “Absurd” was the first new Guns N’ Roses song in 13 years.
In late 2023, Guns N’ Roses released their latest single, “The General.” The track is a B-Side to their previously released track, “Perhaps.“ Both songs are available on the 7″ vinyl version through Geffen. They are the band’s only new pieces of recorded material in the last 15 years. The previously released “Perhaps” was originally conceived during the Chinese Democracy recording sessions in the early 2000s.

On November 2, 2023, Guns N’ Roses wrapped up their two-night stand at the storied Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California. The band cranked through stellar sets alongside very special guests, GRAMMY® Award winners The Black Keys. During their second show, Guns N’ Roses gave their new song “The General” its live debut.
Guns N’ Roses kicked off the North American leg of their 2023 world tour in August 2023 with two shows in Canada. Country music superstar and frequent collaborator Carrie Underwood was the band’s special guest. During her set, she played to her audience, busting out rock covers by Joan Jett, Motörhead, Led Zeppelin, Pat Benatar, Heart, and The Rolling Stones. During GnR’s set, Underwood joined them for “Sweet Child o’ Mine” and “Paradise City.” She also performed with Guns N’ Roses on August 26 at GEODIS Park in Nashville.
Back in October 2023, Guns N’ Roses took the stage at Power Trip in Indio, California. They performed alongside fellow rock icons Metallica, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Tool, and AC/DC, who are also returning to the road in 2025. and also performed. On November 5, 2024, Guns N’ Roses concluded their tour with a headlining stand at Heaven & Hell Festival in Mexico City.
Guns N’ Roses endure as one of the most dynamic, dangerous, and definitive American rock band in history to this day. On the touring front, Guns N’ Roses legendary three-hour-plus shows encompass sought-after fan favorites in addition to newly dusted-off gems from their back catalog, leaving ardent audiences in awe. Their blockbuster 2024 world tour sold 1.3 million tickets around the world and marked the band’s largest run to date. Consisting of acclaimed performances in stadiums and arenas alike, the tour included headlining festival dates at Glastonbury and London’s Hyde Park, while the North American leg included sold-out performances at historic venues such as the Hollywood Bowl and MetLife Stadiumin New Jersey, as well as a co-headlining performance at Power Trip in Indio, CA with AC/DC & Metallica.
