Godsmack Extreme live 2023
Godsmack [The Rock Revival], Extreme [Matt Christine/Santander Arena]

Last night in New Jersey, hard rock chart-toppers Godsmack took the stage at the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden to close out the 2023 concert season at the venue. The show was a make-up from the band’s previously postponed July 28 show at the venue. After pausing the concert several times, the show was eventually put off entirely due to weather. The band promised to return, and they delivered last night in a big way.

With the unseasonably warm weather very much on their side this time, Godsmack took the stage with rock mainstays Extreme as their special guests. Both bands cranked out top-notch sets. At the end of their set, Godsmack brought the members of Extreme on stage for a rowdy rendition of AC/DC’s classic “Highway to Hell.” Check out the fan-filmed footage below.

The performance was tough to top, but Godsmack did their best with an encore that featured “Under Your Scars,” “Bulletproof,” and “I Stand Alone.”

Godsmack released their eighth studio album Lighting Up the Sky on February 24 via BMG. Fans can purchase the album now HERE. It is be available on CD, standard black vinyl, and limited edition blue vinyl. Fans can also purchase the album digitally.

Godsmack’s last album was When Legends Rise which was released in 2018 via their long-time label BMG. The record hit No. 1 across Billboard’s Top Rock, Top Hard Rock, and Top Alternative Albums charts. To date, they are one one of the best-selling hard rock acts of their generation.

Extreme’s new LP SIX is their first new studio album in over a decade. The record arrived back on June 9 via earMUSIC. It is the long awaited follow-up to 2008’s Saudades de Rock. In August, the band is embarked on a headlining tour with special guests Living Colour. Next year, the second leg of the tour kicks off on January 24 at the Bergen Performing Arts Center in Engelwood, New Jersey and wraps up on February 29 at The Theater at Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas, Nevada. From their, Extreme will set sail on the Monsters of Rock Cruise on March 2.
