The track is the second taste of the band’s forthcoming LP

Filter

Filter have released a brand new single “Face Down.” The track follow’s “For The Beaten,” which came out last year. Stream the official audio below now.

“‘Face Down’ speaks to the hate and negativity plaguing the world today,” says frontman Richard Patrick. “I wrote it after being inundated with lies, deceptions, and pure vitriol I saw on social media. I’m pumped. I can’t wait for everyone to hear the full album.”

This new song is the second taste of Filter’s upcoming new album. It will be the first under the Golden Robot umbrella, with CEO and President Mark Alexander-Erber previously expressing his excitement at working with the band, stating, “We are over the moon to sign Richard and Filter to Golden Robot Records for new music, and working with him and his manager Marc Pollack is an honour. I’m more than excited to let the world hear the new music that’s currently being produced.’’

“I look forward to working with Golden Robot,” Patrick said of the signing.

Filter’s last studio album was 2016’s Crazy Eyes.

Last spring, Patrick joined his former band Nine Inch Nails for a special performance at the Blossom Center in Cleveland.
