Parkway Drive, The Prodigy, and more are set to perform
After a successful premiere last year, Download Germany is returning this summer. This year, Slipknot and Volbeat are headlining the festival June 23 and June 24 at the Hockenheimring. Tickets for this year’s installment can be purchased HERE.
Announcing a line-up that includes: headlining Nu-metal icons Slipknot. For over 20 years, the masked rioters have performed spectacular live shows with anthems like “Wait And Bleed” and “Duality.” Just like Volbeat, who are also confirmed to be one of the four headliners. The Danes have created their own genre with their mix of rock’n’roll and metal and will make Download Germany rock with current songs as well as classics. Another headliner coupe lands the festival with the confirmation of legendary electro punker The Prodigy. Originating from the British rave scene of the nineties, the group became world famous with songs such as “Firestarter” and “Smack My Bitch Up.” For this year’s festival, the duo returns to Germany for the first time since the death of singer Keith Flint in 2019. Parkway Drive, looking back on 20 years of band history this year, round off the mighty headliner quartet. The Aussies are for intense live moments and iconicly embodies modern metal.
With the Swedish melo-death vikings Amon Amarth, the creator of German thrash Kreator, and Clutch, the bluesy Stoner rock legends, three absolute sizes of their genre are committed. Unleashed shows lead alternative metal veterans Disturbed and Nothing More to the festival weekend. Coheed And Cambria will take the audience into their conceptualized prog-rock universe, and post-hardcore stars I Prevail and The Amity Affliction will push stylistic boundaries with their hard sound on stage. Stylistic diversity is also offered to the audience by the symphonic metal booklets Within Temptation. The program will be added to by deathcore sensation Lorna Shore and the attackers in Metalcore Malevolence as well as Booth Atlantic, Bob Vylan and Wargasm, who create a stir with their unique performances in the punk scene and beyond. Dead Poet Society trump with the finest alternative rock at Download Germany.
This year, Download Germany will offer the option of camping for the first time. Camping tickets are available from 80€.
