The iconic heavy music outing celebrates its 20th anniversary next year
Next year, the iconic Download Festival will celebrate its 20th anniversary. Metallica, Slipknot, and Bring Me The Horizon will headline the occasion. Other featured acts include Ghost, Disturbed, Alexisonfire, The Distillers, Evanescence, Parkway Drive, and many more.
As a special surprise for fans, Metallica will perform on two nights – Thursday, June 8 and Saturday, June 10 – to commemorate the festival’s 20th installment.
“We’re psyched to announce that we’ll be celebrating Download Festival’s 20th Anniversary with not one, but two nights on June 8 and 10, 2023,” Metallica said on social media. “It’s been over a decade since we last visited Castle Donington so we’ll be making up for lost time with two unique and completely different set lists with no repeat songs whatsoever that weekend.”
Bring Me The Horizon will headline on Friday, June 9 while Slipknot will close out the weekend on Sunday, June 11.
“See you next summer,” Bring Me The Horizon simply stated.
