Future hard rock titans Crobot have officially announced their major label debut LP. “The title of the album is Something Supernatural,” guitarist Christ Bishop told The Rock Revival today. “I believe it will be the funkiest hard rock album in years. Prepare to be butt-funked.” The album hits record stores on October 28. Over the winter, Crobot unleashed their EP, Legend of The Spaceborne Killer which was the band’s first release since inking a deal with Wind-up Records. Crobot have been working on their new music with renowned producer Machine (Lamb of God, Clutch, Gym Class Heroes, Cobra Starship), who also produced the EP. In the spring, the band will toured relentlessly, including a stint with Kyng and Kill Devil Hill and a stop at Rock On The Range on Saturday, May 17 in Columbus, OH.
Crobot are staying on their tour grind through the end of summer, with upcoming stops in New Jersey at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville on August 15 with Skid Row, and back-to-back headlining shows at the Chameleon Club in Lancaster, PA on August 23 and the legendary Boneyard in Atlantic City on August 24. In October, Crobot will be playing at Louder Than Life Festival in Louisville, KY alongside Judas Priest, Korn, Alter Bridge, Limp Bizkit, and many more. Across today’s musical landscape, there’s a lot of bullshit music being sung by disposable heroes. Thank God for bands like Crobot.
Crobot are a riffy and relentless hard rock outfit from Pottsville, PA. Since their inception in 2011, the band has drawn comparisons to the likes of Led Zeppelin, Soundgarden, Clutch, Queens of The Stone Age, Wolfmother, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Audioslave, and many more. With jackhammer guitar riffs and soaring vocals, the band’s explosive live shows have captivated audiences large and small around the country. They released their debut album, The Legend of The Spaceborne Killer, in 2012 and it was one of the best rock album’s of the year. In November 2013, the band inked a deal with Wind-up Records. Back in January 2014, the band toured the Northeast with idols Clutch and The Sword. – by Matt Bishop
