The two rock juggernauts are finally coming together for the ultimate hit-filled weekend

Creed Nickelback 2025 festival

Following a massive resurgence in popularity and an overwhelming response to their long-awaited reunion in 2024, Creed is starting 2025 with the return announcement of their Summer of ‘99 and Beyond Festival — a high-energy rock festival celebrating the anthems of a generation. Now in its second year, the Summer of ‘99 and Beyond Festival follows the success of last year’s sold-out inaugural event in San Bernardino proving that demand for live rock music is stronger than ever. This year, the festival is expanding to two days with Creed being joined by Nickelback as co-headliners.

The festival will take place at Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, WI on Friday, July 18 and Saturday, July 19 – a location that is important in the history of both bands. This year is the 25th Anniversary since Creed first performed there in 2000 and Nickelback made their debut there in 2007 – making it the perfect place for the two juggernauts to come together. The Summer of ‘99 and Beyond Festival is the first time both bands will share the stage since 1999.

The Summer of ‘99 and Beyond Festival will feature blow out performances from Nickelback headlining Friday night with +LIVE+, Daughtry, Tonic, Our Lady Peace and Lit rounding out day 1. Saturday night will consist of Creed headlining with 3 Doors Down, Sevendust, Mammoth WVH, Hinder, Vertical Horizon, and Fuel rounding out day two.

Two-day tickets will be available starting with an Artist Presale beginning Wednesday, February 19 at 10 AM CST. Additional pre-sales will run throughout the week ahead of the general on-sale beginning Friday, February 21 at 10 AM CST. Add-ons including parking, VIP clubs, and VIP experiences will all also be available for purchase.

This past November, Creed wrapped up their massive reunion tour at the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida. The run has seen the band sell out venues around the country – including Madison Square Garden in New York City. The tour sold out, so they added a second leg. They even embarked on their own music cruise, adding a second one due to unbelievable demand. Now, the demand for the band is higher than ever, so they’re running it back in 2025.

At the end of the tour’s final show in Orlando, a graphic flashed across the LED screens on stage that read, “Summer of ’99 Tour 2025 Coming Soon.”

Now, a new run of shows is confirmed, and the questions is – Are You Ready? The 2025 trek kicks off on July 9 at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky and wraps up on August 20 at Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Canada. Very special guests will be 3 Doors Down, Daugtry, Mammoth WVH, and Big Wreck on select dates.

Tickets and VIP Packages for the tour are on sale now. VIP Packages may include premium tickets, on-stage viewing opportunity, Meet & Greet and photo op with Creed, access to the pre-show soundcheck party with members of Creed, exclusive merchandise pack, and more. VIP package contents vary based on offer selected.

This new run of shows leaves the winter and spring wide open. Surely, singer Scott Stapp is probably looking to book more solo dates to support his latest album Higher Power. Guitarist Mark Tremonti also has a new record on the way, with a European tour booked for January. Tremonti will probably want to do a North American run in the later winter or early spring. Sadly, festival bookings have come and gone. There are still a few left unannounced, but the likelihood of Creed appearing seems low that this point. Maybe there’s a promoter out there that will have the balls to book one of the biggest hit-producing rock bands of the last 30 years on their bill. We shall see.

In April, Creed will set sail on another Summer of ’99 Cruise. The jaunt will see a sold-out ship head for the Bahamas on April 9, 2025 and returning on April 13. The lineup features Sevendust, Dorothy, Hoobastank, Lit, Hinder, Alien Ant Farm, Marcy Playground, and more. After that, Creed have a featured slot at Stagecoach in Indio, California. The country music festival has branched out to include some other genres. In addition to hard rockers Creed, this year’s installment includes alternative sensation Lana Del Rey, pop icon Backstreet Boys, alternative rock chart-toppers Goo Goo Dolls, and rock icon Sammy Hagar, among others.

Nickelback’s tenth studio album Get Rollin’ arrived on November 18, 2022. It available now HERE via CD, deluxe CD, orange vinyl, limited edition D2C exclusive blue marble vinyl, and digital download.
