Heavy punk revivalists Biffy Clyro are confirmed to support Muse for a select string of dates on their 2013 North American 2nd Law Tour. Biffy Clyro are touring in support of their latest album, Opposites, which came out back in January. The band’s explosive new album, The 2nd Law (Warner Bros. Records), is the band’s fourth consecutive #1 record on the UK Albums Chart.
Biffy Clyro are a trio, like Muse, and have been rocking hard since 2002. To date, the band as released six studio LPs. Their new album Opposites hit #1 on the UK albums chart, and is a huge hit all throughout Europe. In July 2011, Biffy Clyro opened for Foo Fighters in front of 130,000 fans (65,000 each night) at the Milton Keynes Bowl in the U.K. In 2012, the band was a featured act at Download Festival 2012 along with Soundgarden and Chase and Status Live, with headliners The Prodigy, Metallica, and Black Sabbath. Biffy Clyro performed directly before Metallica on the second night of the festival. The band is currently on a massive arena tour of the U.K. and Ireland
Formed in 1994, Muse is Matt Bellamy, Dominic Howard and Chris Wolstenholme. Their previous five studio albums have sold over 15 million copies worldwide. The group’s last album, The Resistance, debuted at #3 on the Billboard Top 200, and hit #1 in 19 countries around the world. The album garnered the band the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album, and an American Music Award.
