The Riot Fest 2024 lineup is here. In late September, the three-day jaunt returns for another installment. The year, Slayer, Beck, and Fall Out Boy are set to headline. Other featured acts slated to perform are Rob Zombie, The Offspring, St. Vincent, Bright Eyes, Sublime, Cypress Hill, Poison the Well, L.S. Dunes, Clutch, Rival Sons, and more. This year’s Fest features some special treats. In addition to the return of Slayer, Sum 41 will be performing as part of their farewell tour. Metal titans Mastodon and Lamb of God will be stopping by, as they will have just wrapped up a massive co-headlining run together. The Ashes of Leviathan Tour will see the two storied acts perform classic albums in full to celebrate their respective 20th anniversaries. Lamb of God will grind out Ashes of the Wake, while Mastodon will churn through Leviathan. Mastodon are set to repeat this at Riot Fest, but it is unclear whether or not Lamb of God will also play Ashes.
Additionally, Manchester Orchestra will be performing their 2014 album Cope all the way through.
In celebration of their final tour, NOFX will perform on all three days.

After nearly 40 years and 12 studio albums, Slayer decided it was time to say farewell back in 2018. They launched The Final Campaign, a massive world tour that wrapped up in November of 2019. Now, after not performing for five years, the thrash metal legends are coming back with a vengeance. The group previously confirmed plans to headline two major North American festivals – Riot Fest in Chicago, Illinois, and Louder Than Life in Louisville, Kentucky.
“Nothing compares to the 90 minutes when we’re on stage playing live, sharing that intense energy with our fans,” said Slayer frontman Tom Araya. “And, to be honest, we have missed that.”
Guitarist Kerry King adds, “Have I missed playing live? Absolutely. Slayer means a lot to our fans; they mean a lot to us. It will be five years since we have seen them.”
In addition to their slot at Riot Fest, Slayer will perform at Louder Than Life this fall alongside Mötley Crüe, Slipknot, and Korn. Other featured acts include Judas Priest, The Offspring, Seether, Anthrax, Disturbed, Evanescence, Five Finger Death Punch, Sum 41, Body Count, Architects, Jinjer, and Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann, among many others.
Slayer guitarist Kerry King recently unleashed the first taste of his highly anticipated solo project. The debut single, “Idle Hands,” is from his forthcoming album, From Hell I Rise. It was produced by Kerry King himself, alongside Josh Wilbur (Avenged Sevenfold, Lamb of God, Korn). It is slated to arrive on May 17 through Reigning Phoenix Music. For the record, King recruited Slayer drummer Paul Bostaph, Death Angel vocalist Mark Osegueda, Hellyeah bassist Kyle Sanders, and former Machine Head guitarist Phil Demmel, who briefly toured with Slayer back in 2018.
In May, Kerry King and his band are scheduled for a featured performance at Sonic Temple in Columbus, Ohio with Disturbed, Misfits, Pantera, Slipknot, Judas Priest, Sleep Token, Falling In Reverse, 311, A Day to Remember, Clutch, Mr. Bungle, Mudvayne, and others. King and company are also slated to perform at Welcome to Rockville in Daytona Beach, Florida alongside Mötley Crüe, Foo Fighters, Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, Judas Priest, Falling In Reverse, Greta Van Fleet, Breaking Benjamin, Anthrax, In This Moment, Primus, Architects, and many more.
This summer, Kerry King will serve as special guest on select dates for Lamb of God and Mastodon’s monstrous co-headlining tour.
Throughout their career, Slayer played nearly 3,000 concerts around the globe. They have received several awards, including five GRAMMY® Award nominations and two Best Metal Performance wins for “Eyes of the Insane” (2007) and “Final Six” (2008). They have multiple live recordings, greatest hits compilations, live concert films and two box sets under their belt. With over 20 million albums sold worldwide, their discography boasts multiple Gold records, and they had their own exhibit in the Smithsonian Institute.
Fall Out Boy released their eighth studio album So Much (For) Stardust back in March via Fueled by Ramen/Elektra/DCD2. It was the follow-up to 2018’s M A N I A, which garnered a GRAMMY® nomination for Best Rock Album and marked their third consecutive and fourth overall No.1 album. So Much (For) Stardust peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard 200, and No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums Chart.
St. Vincent recently released her new album, All Born Screaming, back in April. The all-new record is highlighted by the single “Flea” which features special guest appearances by Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl and frequent collaborator Justin Meldal-Johnsen. Additionally, the GRAMMY®-winning singer and guitarist is embarking on a North American headlining tour beginning on May 22 at The Majestic Ventura Theater in Ventura, California. The trek will make stops in Boston, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Los Angeles, and more before wrapping up on September 20 at the Palace Theater in St. Paul, Minnesota. Special guests include Spoon, Yves Tumor, Momma, Eartheater, and Dorian Electric on select dates.
The Offspring are back with a brand new single, “Make It All Right.” The track is the first taste of their forthcoming eleventh studio album, Supercharged. The LP arrives on October 11 through Concord Records/Universal Music Group. Stream the official audio of “Make It All Right” below.”

The Offspring’s last studio effort was 2021’s Let the Bad Times Roll. The album hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Alternative Albums chart and the UK’s Rock & Metal Albums chart. It also peaked at No. 27 on the Billboard 200.
