Coldplay Performs, Liam Gallagher Surprises at Manchester Benefit

(TRR) Tonight at the Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground in the UK, a stellar lineup came together to join pop singer Ariana Grande for the One Love Manchester Benefit Concert. The star-studded show helped raised fund to benefit the victims of the terrorist attack at the Ariana Grande show at Manchester Arena a few weeks ago. Stream the entire show above.

Pop rock juggernauts Coldplay were joined by Ariana Grande to cover the Oasis hit “Don’t Look Back In Anger,” a song that had become an anthem of sorts after the horrific bombing at Manchester Arena. Then Coldplay rolled out their own hits “Fix You,” Viva La Vida,” and “Something Just Like This.”

Former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher made a surprise appearance, opening with “Rock ‘N’ Roll Star” from the band’s 1994 album Definitely Maybe. The Manchester native, 44, followed it up with his solo track “Wall of Glass.”

Later, Gallagher joined Coldplay for an acoustic rendition of the Oasis classic “Live Forever.” The epic collaboration was a moving tribute to the victims, and a beacon of hope as loved ones begin to move on.
