Frontman Ivan Moody was unable to sing at the band’s SoFi Stadium show with Metallica
Last night at SoFi Stadium in California, Five Finger Death Punch opened for Metallica with several special guest vocalist. The band’s frontman Ivan Moody caught a “terrible flu” and was unable to perform, per a statement released on the band’s social media. Not wanting to cancel, Five Finger Death Punch enlisted the services of three high-profile metal singers to fill in for Moody so the show could go on.
Joining Five Finger Death Punch on stage were Phil Labonte of All That Remains, Howard Jones (SION, ex-Killswitch Engage, ex-Light the Torch), and AJ Channer of Fire From the Gods. They tore through FFDP hits like “Lift Me Up,” “The Bleeding,” “Bad Company,” “Wash It All Away,” and more. Check out the fan-filmed videos above and below.
