Chaos ignited in the mosh pit during the band’s performance of “Toxicity”

A few days ago, System of a Down kicked off their highly-anticipated South American tour. On April 27, the band played a show at Estadio Nacional in Lima, Peru. During their performance of “Toxicity,” chaos erupted in the pit. Fans began to light off fireworks and moshed around waving pyro.

This summer, System of a Down will be playing a handful of massive stadium shows across North America. The performances are set to take place at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ, on August 28 with Korn; Soldier Field in Chicago, IL, on August 31 with Avenged Sevenfold; and conclude at Rogers Stadium in Toronto, ON, on September 3 with Deftones. Special guests Polyphia and Wisp will open for all three shows.
Due to overwhelming demand, the group has added new dates in the same markets, which are on sale now.
After headlining the inaugural Sick New World festival in Las Vegas in 2022, System of a Down returned to headline the sophomore installment in 2023. In November 0f 2020, System of a Down released new music for the first time in 15 years. The two tracks – “Protect The Land” and “Genocidal Humanoidz” – where written to create awareness of the on-going wars in the band members’ native Artsakh and Armenia.
