The band’s new album ‘Explosions’ drops in May
Three Days Grace have revealed their brand new song “Lifetime.” The track is the second single from their forthcoming album Explosions which drops May 6 via RCA Records. Stream the official music video for “Lifetime” below.
Directed by Jon Vulpine, the video was shot in the town of Mayfield, KY which was devastated by an EF4 tornado last December. Three Days Grace partnered with PLUS1 so that $1 from every ticket sold for their upcoming Explosions Tour will go to support the recovery efforts in Mayfield. Proceeds will benefit the Mayfield Tornado Relief Fund and the Mayfield Independent School District.
“‘Lifetime’ is about loss,” the band said in a statement. “It also speaks to the human condition to push forward and put one foot in front of the other even when you wake up and your world is turned upside down. Barry lives two hours to the north of Mayfield and when the tornado struck, he not only knew people directly affected, but days later he found photos and debris in his own backyard: hitting, in more ways than one, close to home. The Mayfield community has shown hope and resilience in the face of unimaginable devastation. When we discussed how we wanted to visually portray this song, the story of Mayfield immediately came up. We traveled down to Kentucky from Toronto in March to see it all with our own eyes and meet some of the families. While it was overwhelming at times, it was also a reminder to us and hopefully to all of you that while there is suffering there is also hope, resilience, and strength around every corner all over the world.”
Additionally, Three Days Grace have confirmed a 2022 North American headlining tour. The trek kicks off on April 19 at Mars Music Hall in Huntsville, AL and wraps up on November 23 at Budweiser Gardens in London, ON. The band will be joined by special guests Wage War and Zero 9:36 on select U.S. dates and The Warning and The Standstills on select Canadian dates.
