The Killers have shared a brand new single “boy” (Island Records). Produced by the band alongside Stuart Price and Shawn Everett, the track arrives nearly a year after the release of their last album Pressure Machine. Watch the official music video below.

Fans can stream the track across all streaming platforms now HERE.

Written by frontman Brandon Flowers, the song sees the band return to their anthemic stadium-filling sound. The band debuted the track at last month’s Mad Cool Festival in Madrid. The song was written before Pressure Machine and, says Flowers, the themes explored in the lyrics actually led him on the path to writing and recording that album.

Flowers elaborates,”This was the first song written after we had to cancel the Imploding The Mirage Tour due to the pandemic. I had recently moved back to Utah and started to make trips to Nephi, where I grew up. I found that the place I had wanted to get away from so desperately at 16 was now a place that I couldn’t stop returning to. I have a son approaching the age I was at that time in my life. With “boy”, I want to reach out and tell myself – and my sons – to not overthink it. And to look for the “white arrows” in their lives. For me now, white arrows are my wife, children, my songs and the stage.”

In a two-year stretch, The Killers released acclaimed back-to-back studio LPs – Imploding The Mirage (2020) and Pressure Machine (2021). Both albums were produced by the band alongside Shawn Everett and Jonathan Rado (of Foxygen). Both records cracked the Top 10 on the Billboard 200, and each nabbed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Top Rock Albums Chart.

The Killers will be heading back to the road later this month to celebrate their most recent albums along with their much-loved catalogue of global hits. The North American trek kicks off on August 19 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC and will see thebans perform in New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Miami, and more.
