The Cult have announced their first new album in six years. The band’s tenth studio LP Under the Midnight Sun arrives on October 7. The band has also premiered the record’s first single “Give Me Mercy.” Stream the official music video below.

“’Give Me Mercy’ has all the hallmarks of the new classic Cult to my ears,” guitarist Billy Duffy said. “Fresh yet familiar.”

Vocalist Ian Astbury added, “I was absolutely enamored with this piece of music Billy had written, and it perfectly fit these thoughts I’d been having about our culture’s need to move past assumptions of duality. We need new language because words can’t express where we’re going.”

The Cult’s new album is available for pre-order now. The record comes on exclusive metallic gold vinyl, black vinyl, CD, and digital download. Reserve your copy of Under the Midnight Sun now HERE.

A limited edition boxed set will be available as well. It includes a gold vinyl, vinyl slip-mat, bandana, and album-exclusive lithograph. Only 777 copies will be available. Fans can pre-order now at https://cult.ffm.to/utmspreorder.
