The Black Crowes recently announced a brand new studio album. Their forthcoming LP A Pound of Feathers is slated for arrival on March 13. To celebrate the announcement, the band released the record’s first two singles – “Profane Prophecy” and “Pharmacy Chronicles.” Stream both tracks now HERE.
Lead singer Chris Robinson states, “Bringing the high and inspiration from Happiness Bastards into this album felt like a natural progression. We experimented more, wrote on instinct, and followed how we were feeling in the moment. Rich brought a spontaneity to the record I can’t describe – it’s the best shit he’s ever done.”
Chris adds, “We made this record in eight to 10 days.”
In addition to streaming and digital download, the album will be available on CD, vinyl, and limited edition black splatter vinyl. To accompany the album’s release, the band has curated a new line up merch that includes t-shirts, a mug, a whiskey glass, coasters, and vinyl slipmat.
Founded by brothers Chris and Rich Robinson, The Black Crowes make music for the mavericks, playing rock ‘n’ roll that’s hip-swinging and heavy, dirty and debonaire, bluesy and ballsy, ecstatic and electrifying, and soulful and soaring. They don’t fall in line, and they never cared to either. Instead, they’re right at home with the outsiders, the drifters, the lost souls, the hustlers, and the hellraisers who inhabit timeless tunes like “She Talks To Angels,” “Hard To Handle,” “Wiser Time,” “Twice As Hard,” and “Black Moon Creeping.” No matter where culture went, the multiplatinum GRAMMY® Award-nominated group fearlessly charted their own course, taking flight with the 5x-Platinum Shake Your Money Makerand never coming back down.
Their path twisted and turned from seminal records a la the 2x-Platinum Billboard 200 #1 LP The Southern Harmony And Musical Companion and Gold-certified follow-up Amorica to a once-in-a-lifetime jaunt with Jimmy Page and accompanying Gold-certified live record: Live at the Greek. The band’s lore expanded with the chart-shaking Warpaint and Before the Frost…Until the Freeze. Another generation fell under their spell as they launched their biggest headline tour yet to celebrate Shake Your Money Maker’s 30th birthday. They lit up the next chapter with 2024’s Happiness Bastards—which garnered a 2025 GRAMMY® Award nod for Best Rock Album.
Between widespread critical praise, they even picked up a 2025 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame® nomination. Rather than rest on their laurels, Chris and Rich will embark on their Southern Hospitality Tour this summer, following the release of their tenth full-length offering, A Pound of Feathers, out March 13. Promising uncompromising, urgent, and undeniable rock ‘n’ roll, it’s the sound of unrepentant creative spirits in harmony. It’s the sound of The Black Crowes.
Genre-bending band Whiskey Myers have played nearly 3,000 live shows to ever-increasing crowd sizes since their emergence in 2007. In addition to headlining their own sold-out shows from coast to coast at iconic venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Ryman Auditorium, plus performing at marquee festivals Bonnaroo, Stagecoach, Download and more, the six-piece was also personally selected to open The Rolling Stones’ Chicago stadium show. Lauded by Rolling Stone as “their most supercharged album yet” that “sounds on the whole like an invigorated, freewheeling rock band in its prime,” Whomp Whack Thunder is available now via the band’s own Wiggy Thump Records. As lead single “Time Bomb” climbs the Active Rock radio charts, Forbes opines, “Whiskey Myers has a track record of turning out cutting edge albums, with each one consistently better than the last. Whomp Whack Thunder is their latest best example,” also noting, “every song is worth the journey.”
Their previous project, Tornillo, featured the No. 17 most-played Americana song of 2022, “John Wayne,” and followed breakthrough album Whiskey Myers, which debuted at No. 1 on both the Country and Americana/Folk sales charts, at No. 2 on the Rock chart and No. 6 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart (No. 3 among new releases). In total, Whiskey Myers have sold more than 2.7 million albums and amassed over 4.1 billion streams while earning nine RIAA Gold, Platinum and multi-Platinum certifications as an independent band. Known for their high-energy live show and unique sound, the band praised by Esquire as “the real damn deal” has also earned sync success with features in Paramount’s hit shows “Yellowstone” (including an on-screen performance) and “Landman,” plus Netflix series “What/If,” Angelina Jolie film “Those Who Wish Me Dead” and CBS series “SEAL Team,” among others. USA Today describes their sound as “a riff-heavy blend of Southern rock and gritty country that has earned comparisons to the Allman Brothers Band and Led Zeppelin,” with Rolling Stone noting “it’s the seminal combination of twang and crunchy rock & roll guitars that hits a perfect sweet spot.”
