The guitarist’s spooky video arrives just in time for Halloween
Rising guitar superstar Sophie Lloyd has unleashed a cover of Metallica’s classic track, “Enter Sandman.” The guitarist’s “Shred Version” is accompanied by a spooky-themed video that arrives just in time for Halloween. Stream the official clip below now.
Lloyd’s forthcoming album Imposter Syndrome arrives on November 10. The first single “Lost” premiered back in May. The record features several guest appearances including Lzzy Hale of Halestorm, Chris Robertson of Black Stone Cherry, Matt Heafy of Trivium, Tyler Connolly of Theory of a Deadman, Brandon Saller of Atreyu, Michael Starr of Steel Panther, and more. It will be available on limited edition signed splattered vinyl, limited edition splattered vinyl, standard black vinyl, CD, signed CD, and vinyl + CD bundle. Back in the spring, Lloyd inked an endorsement deal with Kiesel Guitars. The SL6 Signature is Lloyd’s first run with the Los Angeles-based guitar makers. Her signature axe is the brand’s A6 model, customized to Sophie’s specifications.
“If you’d have told me when I was a kid I’d have my own signature guitar line coming out, I’d never have believed you, let alone being the first female signature artist for Kiesel,” Lloyd said. “Kiesel took me on when I barely had a thousand followers, it’s been amazing to grow with them and become part of the family. They are one of the most innovative and exciting brands out there and their A6 model has become such an extension of me and my playing that I could never imagine playing anything else. They are really unlike any guitar I’ve ever played, and I think you guys are going to love them!”
Sophie Lloyd rose to fame on YouTube, displaying her shredding skills and covering rock and metal classics. Since then, she has lent her talents to brand campaigns for the likes of Amazon Prime, Hard Rock Café, Live Nation and Harley Davidson. Over the last two years, Lloyd has been travelling the globe with chart-topping pop punker Machine Gun Kelly on his Mainstream Sellout Tour.
