Prong are back with a brand new album. The group’s thirteenth studio effort State of Emergency arrives on October 6 via Steamhammer/SPV. Additionally, the band revealed the music video for the album’s second single “Non-Existence.” It followed the previously released “Breaking Point.” Watch the official clip below, created by Ingo Spörl of Hard Media.

“‘Non-Existence,’ with its techno-style noise guitar that’s omnipresent on this album, is a bit like my retrospective glance at ‘Rude Awakening’,” Prong founder Tommy Victor says of the track.

The band’s forthcoming LP was produced by Steve Evetts (Sepultura, The Dillinger Escape Plan). It will be available on vinyl, CD, and digital download. Fans can pre-order and pre-save now HERE. Check out the cover art and tracklisting below.

“It’s a very Prong record,” Victor states. “I think it’s totally genre-transcending and definitely ignores what’s going on out there these days. I like all kinds of music. This record totally reflects that because it covers lots of different angles. At the same time, State of Emergency is very guitar-oriented and a typical example of my style.'”

The album also includes a cover of Rush’s “Working Man.”

“Rush was the first power trio I ever saw live and I was blown away by them,” Victor says. “‘Working Man’ is so simple and it’s so heavy. I also love the lyric. I thought it would be great tuned down a bit and slowed down, and I think we nailed it.”

This Friday, August 4, Prong are giving a special performance in New Jersey. Ahead of Metallica’s North American tour kickoff at MetLife Stadium, Prong are going to rage in the parking lot ahead of the show. Tailgating starts at 1pm ET, and Prong takes the stage in Lot G at 3pm ET. A limited number of tickets are still available HERE.

After they destroy the parking lot at MetLife Stadium, Prong are heading to Europe for a series of headlining shows and featured festival performances. In November, the band is returning to Europe with Life of Agony for more tour dates. The pair will also be performing at a few festivals.
