His forthcoming album ‘i/o’ arrives later this year
On today’s harvest full moon, Peter Gabriel has revealed another new song from his forthcoming album, i/o. The Dark-Side version of “This Is Home” can be streamed below now. It was mixed by Tchad Blake. The single’s cover artwork, titled Conexión de catedral II, was done by David Moreno.
Gabriel’s upcoming i/o, the long-awaited follow up to 2002’s Up, is slated for release later this year.
Back in January, Gabriel released “Panopticom,” the first track from the new record.
Gabriel says of the song, “The first song is based on an idea I have been working on to imitate the creation of an indefinitely expandable accessible data globe: the Panopticom. We are beginning to connect a like-minded group of people who might be able to bring this thing to life, to allow the world to see itself better and understand more of what’s really going on.”
Peter Gabriel is in the midst of his North American i/o Tour, which wraps up on October 13 at the KIA Forum in Los Angeles. More dates are set to be announced soon in Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Columbus, Cleveland, Detroit, Milwaukee, St. Paul, Denver, Austin, Dallas, Houston, and Washington, D.C.
