The band’s forthcoming eighth album arrives in October
Of Mice & Men have revealed a brand new song called “Warpaint.” The track is the lead single from their forthcoming album Tether, which arrives on October 6 via SharpTone. Stream the official music video, directed by Mark Lediard, below now.
“We’re excited to share ‘Warpaint’ as the first single,” says lead vocalist and bassist Aaron Pauley. “We feel like it bridges the gap between the OM&M you’ve heard and known, and what’s to come. ‘Warpaint’ is a heavy and anthemic song about resilience, and rallying the courage to face your fears head on.”
This time around, Southern California quartet self-produced and engineered all of the songs on Tether. Pauley mixed and mastered the album while Arteaga designed and painted the album’s artwork.
“With this one, we weren’t really focused on how it sounded as much as we focused on how it felt,” Pauley explains. “And that’s a weird thing to do when all you’re working with is sound. But that was really the goal. And we walked away from making it, feeling like we’ve accomplished that.”
The album will be available on CD, blue and pink splattered vinyl, and digital download. Fans can pre-order physical versions now HERE.
In the fall, Of Mice & Men are hitting the road with Bullet For My Valentine and Vended. The trek begins on October 8 at Mtelus in Montreal, Quebec and wraps up on November 10 at Hard Rock Live in Orlando, Florida. The tour will see the band perform in New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Antonio, Dallas, and more.
In 2021, Of Mice & Men released their last album Echo. Produced by the band themselves, Echo spawned six singles. It marked the band’s first release via SharpTone after their departure from Rise Records.
