The latest single “Scars” is out now

Moon Fever 2024
Moon Fever [Jim Louvau]

After spending most of 2024 on the road in support of their Active Rock charting singles, Seattle rock upstarts Moon Fever have confirmed their first full-length album Forever Sleep. The album is slated for release on January 31, 2025 via Astro Recordings. The album is collective work of the quartet comprised of Triston Bracht [vocals], Mitch Micoley [guitar], Dave Orton [bass], and Troy Wageman [drums]. Moon Fever has made a name for themselves with their high-energy rock sound as evidenced on their debut. From the driving opening riffs of “Getting Loud” to the distorted droning outro of “TV Skin,” the band delivers their unique sound of heavy rock. Tracks like “Nothing Left To Lose,” “Forever Sleep” and “Make It Look Easy” have been centerpieces for the band’s developing audience with each released track garnering the band a new wave of fans. The 11-track album – produced by Jim Kaufman (Helmet, Everclear, Atlas Genius).

The latest single from Moon Fever to launch the upcoming album is “Scars.” The song starts with a memorable guitar riff that breaks down to allow the rhythm section to shine in the verses. The chorus returns with a fury as Triston sings: “You know you always tried to run away, always hidden from the endless pain that scars your skin I see, you wear your heart out on your sleeve.”

“Scars is about second chances, and trying to come back from burned bridges. Things don’t always end well. Sometimes you get a chance to rekindle. Sometimes you wear that scar for the rest of your life,” explains Triston Bracht.

Moon Fever has a few shows remaining in 2024 including a show in Wichita, KS for KICT alongside Hinder and Velvet Chains on December 14. Tickets for that show can be purchased here with more dates to be announced in the near future.

As if channeling a primal urge to let loose under cover of darkness, Moon Fever churn out slick, swaggering, and soulful rock ‘n’ roll anthems amplified by raw attitude and stark emotion. The Seattle quartet—Triston Bracht [vocals], Mitch Micoley [guitar], Dave Orton [bass], and Troy Wageman [drums]—captivate with a one-two punch of raucous instrumentation and intoxicating melodies. At 17-years-old, Mitch traded his hometown of Green Bay, Wisconsin for Los Angeles, CA. However, Seattle called to him in 2020.

He settled in the Emerald City and linked up with Troy and Dave. Nodding to influences such as Queens of the Stone Age, Royal Blood, The Doors, and Alice In Chains, the group had initially gained traction with the Payphone Blues EP highlighted by “Cocaine,” which generated millions streams across digital service providers and counting.  Upon meeting Triston in 2022, the lineup cemented. Building a reputation as a proven live presence, the musicians lit up stages alongside the likes of Adelita’s Way, Godsmack, Otherwise and Buckcherry.
