The polarizing rapper-turned-rocker released his latest album mainstream sellout [Bad Boy/Interscope] last March. The record gave MGK his second consecutive No. 1 album on the Billboard 200. It was his second release since shifting his sound to pop punk and alternative rock. It was produced by blink-182‘s Travis Barker, who also played drums on every track except one. The album also featured appearances by Bring Me The Horizon frontman Oli Sykes and Willow.
The Mainstream Sellout Tour that supported the album saw MGK perform sold-out shows around the globe last year. His band featured renowned guitarist Sophie Lloyd. On May 13, 2023, MGK revealed Mainstream Sellout: Live from Cleveland – a one-night-only concert experience in theaters.
Machine Gun Kelly has amassed over 15.5 billion streams online and sold over 10 million album units. In 2020, MGK released his first rock album Tickets To My Downfall. The record skyrocketed to No. 1 on the Billboard 200, Top Rock Albums, and Top Alternative Albums charts.
