It is the legendary singer’s first LP of his own since 2005
Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson has confirmed his first new solo album since 2005. The record, titled The Mandrake Project, is Bruce’s seventh solo LP and is due out early next year through BMG. Check out the cover art below.
“This album has been a very personal journey for me and I am extremely proud of it,” Dickinson said in a statement. “Roy Z and I have been planning, writing and recording it for years, and I am very excited for people to finally hear it. I’m even more excited at the prospect of getting out on the road with this amazing band that we have put together, to be able to bring it to life. We’re planning to play as many shows as we can in as many places as possible, for as many people as we can! As for what The Mandrake Project actually is… all will be revealed soon!”
Dickinson has announced a brief tour to support the record, with many more dates slated to be announced soon. The run begins next April 18, 2024 at the Diana Theater in Guadalajara, Mexico and wraps up on May 4, 2024 at Vibra in São Paulo, Brazil. The full tour itinerary can be found below. Tickets for the Brazil shows go on sale next Monday, September 25, and tickets for the Mexico shows go on sale next Thursday, September 28. More information on all tickets can be found HERE.
Bruce Dickinson’s last solo effort was 2005’s Tyranny of Souls, which was propelled by the lead single, “Abduction.”
Iron Maiden brought their Legacy of the Beast Tour back to North American last year for another massive run. The band’s latest album Senjutsu arrived in 2021. The album peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, and No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Rock and Top Hard Rock Albums charts. In October, they’re returning to North American for a string of shows in Canada, followed by an appearance at Power Trip in Indio, California alongside Metallica, AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses, Judas Priest, and Tool.
