We recently had the opportunity to catch up with the incredible singer/songwriter Jefferson Angell of Seattle based rock band Walking Papers when they wrapped up a tremendous year opening up for Myles Kennedy to close out 2018. We can’t wait to see what 2019 will hold in store for this phenomenal group of musicians.
Walking Papers, led by Angell, are true rock n’ roll legends and Benjamin, Tristan, Will, Gregor, and Dan blew us away with their mesmerizing performance on stage at The Queen in Wilmington, Delaware. It was an absolute honor to have the chance to pick Angell’s brain for a bit about the inner workings of the music industry, plans for what may be in-store for Walking Papers in the future, life on the road, his family back home and so much more!

The band’s album “WP2” came out nearly a year ago and it is definitely still going strong. Walking Papers provide the perfect blend of bluesy classic rock vibes that can appeal to a variety of fans across every generation, There is something about good songwriting that just sticks with you and that is exactly what we find with Walking Papers and Angell’s vivid lyrical imagery.
Walking Papers were the perfect band to set the tone for Myles Kennedy to take the stage, as we felt this pairing of artists were perfect touring partners. Kennedy’s album “Year Of The Tiger” shares some similar elements in its overall tone, so this was definitely a show that provided a ton of bang for your buck! We have always adored Myles Kennedy, especially live, and having a chance to discover Walking Papers in the live environment was certainly a wonderful treat.
