The band will head overseas for the special one-off on Saturday
After a dominant headlining set at When We Were Young that led to the announcement of their new album, Green Day have announced an exclusive gig in Paris, France. The band will be headlining Bataclan on 4 November
“SURPRISE! We decided to hop on a plane and play a show in Paris,” the band said on social media. “See you this Saturday, 4 November, at Bataclan! See you soon!”
Tickets for the show go on sale tomorrow, 31 October, at 10am CET HERE. There is a two-ticket limit per person. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
The band also hinted that more world tour dates are coming imminently.
“P.S. we’ll be seeing some more of you in other cities very soon.”
Next year, Green Day are embarking on a massive stadium tour. Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong confirmed the 2024 trek at an exclusive club show in Las Vegas on October 19. Very special guests for the run will be The Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid, and The Linda Lindas. Exact dates, venues, and ticket information is forthcoming.
After teasing two new tracks in Las Vegas last week, Green Day have officially confirmed their new album, Saviors. The record is slated to arrive on January 19, 2024 through Reprise/Warner Records. The group also premiered Tuesday the music video for the album’s lead single, “The American Dream is Killing Me.” Shot in Los Angeles, the video was directed by Brendan Walter and Ryan Baxley.
The forthcoming Saviors will be available on several exclusive vinyl versions including neon pink with neon green splatter, and black ice with hot pink splatter, with most in very limited supply and pressed only once. The album will also be available on CD, cassette, and two box set configurations. Fans can pre-order and pre-save now HERE. Check out the cover art and different physical versions below.
The band debuted “The American Dream is Killing Me” and “Look Ma, No Brains!” off the new album live last weekend during their triumphant and electrifying Las Vegas takeover, consisting of a sold-out surprise show at the 800-capacity Fremont and back-to-back headlining performances at When We Were Young Festival.
“As soon we cut it, we said, ‘Okay, that’s going first,’” says Billie Joe Armstrong says of “The American Dream is Killing Me.”
He describes the track as “a look at the way the traditional American Dream doesn’t work for a lot of people – in fact, it’s hurting a lot of people.”
Recorded in London and Los Angeles, Saviors is the latest powerful collaboration between Green Day and Grammy-winning producer Rob Cavallo, whose notable previous work with Green Day includes two of the band’s most iconic albums, 1994’s Dookie and 2004’s American Idiot. The record comes just ahead of Dookie’s 30th anniversary – celebrations have already begun with the release of a massive deluxe edition of the album and a surprise show in Las Vegas where the band performed Dookie from front to back to a sold-out crowd of superfans.
