Ghost have announced their new album Impera. The forthcoming effort is set for release on March 11 via Loma Vista Recordings. Stream the official music video for the lead single “Call Me Little Sunshine” below.

Pre-order Impera now HERE. The album will be available via digital download, CD, cassette, and several limited edition colored vinyls. One package from Target includes a special art print.

“Over the course of Impera’s 12-song cycle, empires rise and fall, would-be messiahs ply their hype (financial and spiritual alike), prophecies are foretold as the skies fill with celestial bodies divine and man-made,” the band stated on their website. “All in all, the most current and topical Ghost subject matter to date is set against a hypnotic and darkly colorful melodic backdrop making Impera a listen like no other.”

The album also features the track “Hunter’s Moon,” their contribution to the Halloween Kills (2021) soundtrack.

Ghost’s last album – 2018’s Prequelle – peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on Billboard Top Rock Albums. It also took the top spot on the Swedish Albums Chart. The record earned the band a GRAMMY Award nomination for Best Rock Album.
