Manson CooperLegendary shock-rockers Alice Cooper and Marilyn Manson have officially announced a joint tour: Masters of Madness – The Shock Therapy Tour. These two metal maniacs are set to hit the road in June for a summer trek. Both Cooper and Manson have previously toured with Rob Zombie, the most recent tour being Zombie and Manson’s Twins of Evil Tour last fall. So far, 13 dates have been announced nation-wide, with more to come. The pairing is a match made in heaven for hardcore fans of the shock-rock sub-genre, and for metal fans in general.

Marilyn Manson’s eighth full-length album, Born Villain, debuted at #10 on the Billboard TopCooper Manson Tour 200 Album Chart, and hit #1 on both the Heavy Album Chart and the Independent Album Chart. The record is Manson’s return to form, and his best outing since 2000′s Holy Wood (In The Shadow of The Valley of Death). This year, Manson was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance for “No Reflection”. Alice Cooper was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011.
