Young Blood – Troy Brady of The Amity Affliction

     Rock ‘n’ roll has some fresh, young blood. The Amity Affliction are one of the biggest up-and-coming metalcore bands in the world right now. Alternative Press recently named them one of the Top 100 Bands You Need To Know About in 2012. With two albums under their belt (Severed Ties and Youngbloods), and a third on the way via Roadrunner Records, the bad is quickly making a name for themselves in the genre. The Amity Affliction are currently on their first US Tour, supporting the monster bill of Asking Alexandria and Trivium. I got a chance to catch up with guitarist Troy Brady at the band’s Starland Ballroom tour stop in New Jersey. We got a chance to talk about what it’s like touring in the States for the first time, and a little bit about their upcoming album.

     Even though they guys are relatively new on the scene, the band sounds seasoned. Their brutally heavy rhythms laced with nostalgic melodies will surely prove to be a recipe for success on their third album. I can’t wait for it!
