The sterling silver pendant is inspired by the band’s 2007 single, “Composure”
Jewelry and lifestyle designers, Clocks + Colours, are back with another rock music collaboration. This time around, the studio has linked up with metalcore juggernauts August Burns Red to create the Composure Pendant. Made of handcrafted sterling silver, the 25mm by 17mm pendant hangs on a 60cm by 2mm gauge stainless steel curb chain.
“We’re fired up to announce our limited-edition collaboration with two-time GRAMMY-nominated band, August Burns Red,” Clocks + Colours stated. “We’ve been huge fans of their music for well over a decade now and it’s an honor we could finally bring this piece to life. The border of this sterling silver pendant is marked with the words ‘Wave Goodbye to The Past,’ inspired by their 2007 single, ‘Composure.’ This sentiment holds significant meaning to the band, serving as a reminder of healing and not dwelling on the past – and that’s something we heavily fuck with.”
Check out more photos of the piece below, which retails for $180 USD.
Clocks + Colours have been creating hand-crafted heavy metal jewelry for nearly a decade. More recently, they’ve expanded their brand to include sunglasses, hats, shirts, knives, cologne, and much more. In the past, they’ve collaborated with other rock artists like Avenged Sevenfold, Megadeth, blink-182’s Travis Barker, Every Time I Die, and more.
Clocks + Colours fully embody the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle. Last September, they revealed The Riff – a handcrafted sterling silver medallion in the shape of a guitar pick with the C+C logo emblazoned on it, which hangs off a 5mm stainless steel chain. The necklace’s coolest feature is that it has a slot in the back that actually holds up to three real standard sized guitar picks, so you can jam anywhere, anytime. The Riff retails for $230 USD.
Last year, August Burns Red commemorated the release of their sixth studio effort, Rescue & Restore, with a special 10th anniversary tour. The album originally arrived on June 25, 2013 via Solid State Records. It debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 and No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Hard Rock Albums chart. The record was powered by the lead single “Spirit Breaker” and standout tracks “Fault Line,” “Beauty in Tragedy,” and “Provision.”
August Burns Red released their latest album Death Below last March via SharpTone Records. It marked the band’s first released with the label. The album features several special guest performances from the likes of Jesse Leach (Killswitch Engage), Jason Richardson (ex-Born of Osiris, ex-Chelsea Grin), JT Cavey (ERRA), and Spencer Chamberlain (Underoath).
Last March, August Burns Red guitarist JB Brubaker joined our Talk This Way Podcast to chat about the group’s new album, their 20th anniversary as a band, and more.
