The 2014 footage serves as a preview of coming attractions
After nearly two decades, Pantera will tour in 2023. Surviving members – vocalist Phil Anselmo and bassist Rex Brown – will be joined by guitarist Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society, Ozzy Osbourne) and Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante for a North American tour. Performing under the Pantera moniker, the group will also look to headline several major festival in North American and Europe.
In a preview of coming attractions, we take a look back at a 2014 Black Label Society show at the Verizon Theatre in Grand Prairie, TX. Pantera members Anselmo and Brown joined Zakk Wylde for a blistering rendition of Pantera’s classic track “I’m Broken.” Check out the fan-shot footage below.
The video is proof that there’s chemistry between the three musicians. For additional nostalgia, Wylde has history with the now deceased Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul. Wylde joined the Abbott Brothers in Damageplan for several shows on MTV’s Headbanger’s Ball Tour years ago and performed the second solo on the band’s track “Reborn.” It makes Wylde all the more suitable for a Pantera reunion tour.
Pantera have signed with Artist Group International to book their 2023 tour dates. Dennis Arfa and Peter Pappalardo will be the responsible agents. Rod MacSween of ITB is responsible for the band’s international bookings.
